Dr. Alández holds a Ph D in Medicine and specialized in odontology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He also holds a Masters Degree in Oral Surgery, Periodontology and Implants. He is a former professor of periodontology and implants in the undergraduate and master degrees in the Department of Oral Medicine of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is currently the head of the Department of Implantology of Clínica Perio. Dr. Alández has published 62 articles and text chapters on Periodontology and Implants. He is an active member of the Spanish Society of Periodontology and has presented over 100 lectures in meetings and congresses about periodontology and implantology
