Marianela Gonzales
Dr. González received her DDS from Central University of Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela (Dean’s honor list), in 1991 and MS from Baylor College of Dentistry, Baylor University Medical Center (a member of the Texas A&M University System), Dallas, Texas in 1998. At Baylor, she also attended graduate studies and received her Oral Surgery Certificate in 2000. Dr. González completed the following internships: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Dentofacial Deformities, Santa Rosa Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center (under Dr. Cesar Guerrero), Caracas, Venezuela (1991-1994) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Internal Medicine, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark (1994-1995). She was a research fellow in Distraction Osteogenesis, Baylor College of Dentistry (under Dr. William Bell, 1995-2000) and a doctor in medicine at the University of Health Sciences Antigua, School of Medicine (2005-2007). Dr. González has held a number of professional appointments and memberships, As well, she has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters.
