Dr. Gelb graduated Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery with a DDS in 1973 and Periodontics degree in 1975. He is a: Diplomat, American Academy of Periodontology (1981); Fellow, Academy of Osseointegration; Fellow, American and International College of Dentists; Fellow, Pierre Fauchard Academy. Certified in Brånemark Surgery (University of Toronto, 1986); certified in Brånemark Prosthetics (OSI, University of Pennsylvania, 1989). Visiting lecturer, University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and Hartford Hospital. Dr. Gelb is well recognized in Implant Dentistry. He has been in the forefront in the development of surgical procedures for finite esthetics in implant dentistry, immediate implant placement, and immediate load protocols. He has lectured and published on implant dentistry nationally and internationally. He is the developer of the «Gelb Radiographic Depth Gauge and «The Implant Tracker. His practice is limited to Implant Surgery and Periodontics in West Hartford, Connecticut.
