David Riva received his dental technician degree in Milan, Italy in 1986 and then began working as a co-partner with his father, Franco, also a dental technician in Milan since 1960. He heads Laboratorio Riva in Milan, which specializes in dental ceramics. He attended several specialized courses pertaining to various methods with highly noted international speakers. He had a significant meeting with Alvin Schonenberger in Zurich, where afterwards he was inspired to construct a multi-specialized and complete team for his laboratory. After he had several seminars with Marco Cossu in Lugano, Switzerland, he brought back to Italy a formulated system using top qualified and aesthetic methods. Member of the international group involved in the developmental project of new alumina and zirconia ceramics of Nobel Biocare, he currently holds courses and participates in conferences utilizing these materials and technology. He works closely with his brother Dr. Mauro Riva, a dentist in Milan.
