Billy Drake, CDT, is the owner of Drake Precision Dental Laboratory, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina with 120 employees. He is currently serving as vice chairman of the CAL-Lab Board and served as past president of the North Carolina Dental Lab Association and the Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories. He has also served the NADL for nine years including three years as the chairman of the Business Management Committee. Mr. Drake played a major role in the development and implementation of the Vision 21 dental laboratory program in Las Vegas. During his 35 years in the industry, he has been involved in the research and development of numerous metal and ceramic systems. He developed and patented the Dental Wave 7000Ô microwave burnout furnace for laboratory use. Billy has lectured throughout the United States and internationally on a variety of subjects including crown & bridge, ceramics, and laboratory management.
