Day Summary
This start of Nobel Biocare’s World Conference was nothing less than spectacular.
Over 6,000 participants arrived today to begin their 5-day journey through the most comprehensive educational and training schedule ever available at a dental conference.
In fact, the response and pre-registration for the Hands-on and One-on-One Sessions, Workshops, and Special Programs was so overwhelming that Nobel Biocare had to increase dramatically the number of sessions being offered. By the close of the activities on Sunday, the total number of learning sessions available was still growing!
Highlights of the day included the standing-room-only Special Program “Implant-based treatment solutions for the edentulous jaw with long-term scientific data and analysis” moderated by Dr. Brien Lang, “Plan a treatment in state-of-the-art NobelGuide™ – computer based” (Hands-on 3) with Dr. Liene Molly, and Ms. Linda Miles’ special presentation on how to increase patient acceptance of implants as a treatment solution (Workshop 11).
Participants were also granted their first glimpse at the submissions to Nobel Biocare’s renowned Poster Award Competition, today. Over 300 posters have been submitted by researchers, clinicians, and students from around the world, which detail their experiences with Nobel Biocare solution-based therapies.
