Markus B Blatz

Dr. Blatz is Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Blatz came to Penn Dental Medicine from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where he was chairman of the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry and Biomaterials; Assistant Dean of Clinical Research; and director of the Masters of Science in Oral Biology Program. He graduated and received an additional doctorate from the University of Freiburg, Germany, where he also completed his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics. Dr. Blatz is associate editor of Quintessence International and Quintessence of Dental Technology, an editorial board member of several recognized dental journals including Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, and is a reviewer for numerous scientific dental journals.
