Dr. Peter Ilg is currently in charge of the surgery department of the MaloClinic Campinas – Brasil. He graduated from the Faculdade de Odontologia da UNICAMP in 1985, and trained for 2 years at the Serviço de Cirurgia BMF do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP. He was hired at this institution in 1988, for the assistant position, which he retained until 2004. From 1990 to 1992 he attended a oral surgery residency at the Southwestern Medical Center - University of Texas.

After returning to Brasil, the completed his Master’s Degree and PhD in oral surgery, again at the FOP – UNICAMP. Dr Ilg’s main interest is implants and the rehabilitation of the atrophic maxilla. He his with Nobel Biocare since 1992, and is one of the company’s lecturer. He trains collegues in the NobelBiocare Zigoma Implant technique.
