Dr. Almeida attended the University of Oporto, Portugal where he received his DDS in 1981. In January 2006, he received his PhD at the Oporto University with the theme "Immediate Loading on Implants." He was Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics at "Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde – Norte" and at the "Instituto de Ciências da Saúde – Sul," Portugal from 1994 to 1999. Dr. Almeida is Guest Professor of the Oral Rehabilitation Master Degree at the "Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde – Norte." Dr. Almeida practises implantology, esthetic fixed and removable prosthodontics in his private clinics in Oporto and Lisbon. Since 2001, he is responsible for the coordination of his courses in implantology intitled "Curso de Implantes e Prótese." He is the owner of a laboratory - Labdent, Lda - providing state of art prosthesis with Cad-Cam technology with Procera® Network. He is an active Nobel Biocare Mentor of various activities.
