Syvlie Martel is an experienced dental hygienist and speaker in the arena of periodontics. She holds a license to practice in both the province of Ontario and Quebec, Canada. She has experience in numerous dental environments: periodontics, orthodontics, restorative, administration, and various educational settings. She has held faculty position in the Dental Hygiene at Algonquin College, and a faculty and director position in the Dental Hygiene program at La Cité collégiale, Ottawa. She is currently clinical professor in the Dental Hygiene program at John Abbott College and McGill University, in Montreal. For the past 13 years, she has been working within the corporate sector as a lecturer, key-opinion leader, trainer, and education specialist. She now operates her own consulting business in education and training. She is active in many organizations and her numerous contributions to the advancement of her profession have been highly recognized over the years.
