Dr. Stappert received his DDS in 1993 and received his doctorate (DrMedDent) from the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz in 1996. In 2006, he graduated Master of Science in Biomaterials and Biomimetics with the Graduate School of Arts and Science New York University. He is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry associated with the Department of Biomaterials & Biomimetics, New York University, College of Dentistry. He is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg, Germany. He was director of the national post-graduate program of Prosthodontics, Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg from 2001-2004; visiting research professor, Department of Biomaterials & Biomimetics and Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, NYUCD from 2004-2006. Dr. Stappert is an internationally recognized speaker and has lectured at dental congresses and dental training courses since 1997. He is author of various publications and co-author of the book Implantology – step by step.
