Massimo Simion

Prof. Simion, received his Degree of Medicine and Surgery (1979) and Specialization in Odontostomatology and Dental Prosthodontics (1982) at the University of Milan. He is currently professor and chairman of the Department of Periodontology and Implant Restoration at the Dental School of the University of Milan. He has been a member of the board of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) since 1998 and member of the council of EAO since 2005. Additionally, he has served as president (2001-3) and immediate past-president (2004 and 2005) of EAO. He was an active member and vice-president of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SidP) during 2003-2005. Prof. Simion is the founder of the Italian Society of Osseointegration. He has served as a referee of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Journal of Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implant Research, International Journal of Periodontics, and Restorative Dentistry. Prof. Simion has published several scientific papers and is an international lecturer on the topics Periodontology, Osseointegration, and Bone Regeneration.
