Chair professor and chief doctor of endodontics, Ph.D supervisor, specialist beneficed with “national allowance”. Professor Ling graduated from Wuhan University with Ph.D degree in 1994.

She is now the dean of Guanghua School of Stomatology & Affiliated Hospital of Stomatology, and director of Research Institute of Stomatology of Sun Yat-sen University. She is also the academician of International College of Dentist, executive director of Chinese Association of Stomatology, vice-Chairman of Chinese Society of Cariology and Endodontology and Chinese Society of Oral Medicine Education, vice-President of Guangdong Association of Stomatology, chief-editor of Chinese Journal of Stomatological Research (electronic version), vice-chief-editor of Chinese Journal of Conservative Dentistry, editorial committee member of Chinese Journal of Stomatology, West China Journal of Stomatology, Chinese Journal of Conservative Dentistry, Journal of Practical Stomatology, etc.

Her research fields are mainly on etiology and prevention of caries, pulpal and periapical diseases, as well as the molecular biology and tissue engineering research on endodontic diseases. She has published over 100 papers in Chinese and international academic journals, edited or co-edited 11 academic books, and won over 10 national and provincial awards for research and education achievements.
