Hon. Consultant to Armed forces Medical Services, Defence Ministry Govt. of India, Dr. Mayekar is a visiting faculty to the State University of New York, Buffalo, USA .
He is adjunct Professor Department of Restorative Dentistry, New Jersey School of Dentistry USA. He is synonymous with Aesthetic Dentistry in India. He was the Founder President of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic & Cosmetic Dentistry, which he founded in the year 1991. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Mayekar has been the President of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is an evaluator for Clinical Research Associates( CRA) USA and serves on the Editorial Board of Reality, USA. He has carried out research and clinical studies for Colgate USA including a research study on 5000 school children on Caries Control for 3 yrs. He has been editor of Journal of Indian Dental Association. He was also associated with the Dental Council of India, for 7 years. He was a member of the Executive Council for 3 years. Also he has been a member of the Senate of the University of Mumbai. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) and Pierre Fauchard Academy (MPFA)& Academy dentistry Internationale. (ADI).
He contributes to national and international publications and has been a member of the Editorial Team of Reality Now, USA.
He maintains a multi-disciplinary private practice including implantology with special attention to Aesthetics in Dentistry and Implantology in Mumbai, India. Currently. He pursues his M.S in TMD & Craniofacial Pain from Tufts University, USA.
