Graduated from Bombay University (1987) and completed postgraduate certification in implantology from the New York University College of Dentistry (1999) with a dissertation on single-stage implants. He has been awarded Fellow (1998) & Diplomate (2001) status by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) USA and Fellow (2000) & Diplomate (2002) status by the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists (ISOI).
An alumnus of the AAID MaxiCourse, he has received advanced training in surgery, multiple implant systems and different guided software. Having presented multiple award-winning papers and lectures in India and abroad, he has over a dozen implant publications and is involved in implant research projects. He has served in various capacities ranging from organizing Chairman to Speaker at implant conferences and is presently the Editor of the ISOI journal and an Executive and Accreditation Board member. He is the founder of the Margao Dental Study Club, which meets regularly in Goa.
