Kok Sen Ho
Dr. HO Kok-Sen graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997. Following two years in general dental practice at the National Dental Centre and the National University Hospital, he went on to complete his residency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and successfully obtained his Masters of Dental Surgery. He also gained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons by examination and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. Dr. Ho has received accolades for academic and clinical excellence in dental school.
He was on the Dean's List and had distinctions in Anatomy, Dental Materials and Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics. In addition, he was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for best overall graduand. Dr. Ho is currently Consultant Surgeon at Specialist Dental Group located at the renowned Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore, and focuses his practice on all aspects of oral surgery and implant dentistry. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, National University of Singapore where he is involved in the teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates. In addition, Dr. Ho is mentor and lecturer to graduate dentists in the Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology course at the Centre for Advanced Dental Education, Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore.
His current research interest involves the use of bio-resorbable scaffolds for ridge preservation prior to implant placement. For his efforts and contribution during the SARS crisis, Dr. Ho was awarded the Medal of Commendation by the President of the Republic of Singapore at the 2003 National Day Awards.
