Presenter Details

Ralf Kohal

Dr. Kohal has been a member of the Department of Prosthodontics, University Hospital Freiburg, Germany since 1990. He got his doctoral degree in 1991. From 1993 to 1995, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Stomatology, Division of Periodontology, University of Texas, Houston. Dr. Kohal is board certified in Prosthodontics by the German Society of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials (DGZPW). In 2002, he was awarded docentship (DrMedDentHabil) in oral health sciences with the University of Freiburg. Currently, he is an associate professor at the Department of Prosthodontics in Freiburg. His main interests are the field of implantology (in-vivo and in-vitro investigations regarding guided bone regeneration and the application of new implant materials). Dr. Kohal is a member of several national and international societies. He published some 30 national and international papers and gave lectures, seminars, and workshops worldwide.
