Dr. Qiu received his Bachelor Degree from Beijing Medical University in 1988. From 1988 to 1993, he was a resident at the School of Stomatology, Peking University. In 1993, he was a lecturer there until 2000. For four months in 1999, September to December, he was a visiting doctor at the Dental School, University of Vienna. Dr. Qiu received his PhD from Peking University in 2000. From this point, he was an associate professor there at the Center of Implant Dentistry, School of Stomatology, Peking University until 2005. In June 2005, he received his full professorship status at the University.
