Presenter Details

Yvette Solomons

Dr. Solomons studied dentistry at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg, South Africa and received her BDS and Master of Dentistry in Prosthodontics in 1986 and 1993, respectively. She joined the dental faculty in the Department of Prosthetic dentistry at Wits in 1994 and remained in full-time academia until 2000 with both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching obligations in tooth- and implant-supported prostheses. Dr. Solomons’ activities, both in clinical private practice and clinical research, focus on implant prosthodontics, gerodontics, cost-effective treatment modalities and maxillo-facial prosthodontics. She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and CPD lecture presentations. She currently maintains part-time consultancy in postgraduate prosthodontics at Wits University and full-time private associate practice in Morningside, Johannesburg, South Africa.
