Presenter Details

Kiyoshi Koyano

Dr. Koyano is professor and chairman of the Department of Removable Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dental Science, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He received his DDS in 1983 and PhD in 1987 from Kyushu University. Immediately after the completion of the PhD program, he became a full-time faculty member in the Department of Removable Prosthodontics, Kyushu University. He visited UCLA School of Dentistry as a visiting associate professor in the section of Orofacial Pain and Occlusion between 1991 and 1993. He has been in the current position since 1997. He has authored over 150 research articles, review papers, book chapters and books. He has also given many lectures in national and international conferences as the invited lecturer, panelist and/or coordinator. His research interests on dental implants include biomechanics, bone regeneration, and occlusion. He is currently the president of the International College of Prosthodontists and Asian Academy of Prosthodontics.
