Presenter Details

Roman Cibirka

Dr. Cibirka received his DDS from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1988 and Master’s degree in Prosthodontics from the University of Michigan in 1990.
Dr. Cibirka maintained a practice limited to prosthodontics in Michigan and was a faculty member at both the Universities of Michigan and Detroit Schools of Dentistry until 1996. At that time, he joined the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia where he serves as the associate vice president for Academic Affairs for the entire institution and is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation. Dr. Cibirka maintains an active intramural clinical practice.

His research interests include dental implants, biocompatibility of dental materials and the reconstruction of complex patients. He is a fellow in the Academy of Prosthodontics and a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, American Dental Association, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and is past president of the American College of Prosthodontics Georgia Chapter.
He has actively participated on numerous craniofacial reconstructions, forensic, and disaster teams in Michigan and Georgia. He has lectured nationally and internationally on the subjects of dental implants, forensics, removable partial dentures and biocompatibility. He is currently the Vice President for Instruction and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
