Mr. Sips, after a technical education at the MTS Electronics of Breda, studied as a dental technician at the IVT of Utrecht. During this time, he opened his own dental laboratory, Tandtechnisch Laboratorium Sips BV, in 1977 in Oosterhout. Today, that laboratory employs more than 20 dental technicians, and services other dental laboratories in Belgium and The Netherlands, in addition to its referring dentists. Tandtechnisch Laboratorium Sips BV, in an effort to enhance service, has obtained a NEN-EN0ISO-9001 certificate, resulting in the development of a software system, Q-Bridge, a workflow tool that includes administration, planning, billing and management information. Mr. Sips focuses most of his efforts in the area of gnathology and CAD/ CAM procedures and has presented on these subjects at numerous dental conferences around the world. He is founder of Dutch dental professional organizations focused on improving CAD/CAM dental techniques.
