John Wibberly received his Certificate in Dental Technology from Manchester Polytechnic at Manchester in 1978. Mr. Wibberly’s first appointment was in the Department of Prosthodontics at Manchester Dental Hospital. Eight months later, he then moved to North Manchester General Hospital gaining more experience in a maxillofacial unit. After gaining his advanced City and Guilds in crown and bridgework, Mr. Wibberly joined the RAF dental branch in 1980. Following his stint in the RAF, he opened his own lab, Portland Ceramics, in August 1985, specializing in implantology and high quality restorations. Portland Ceramics was purchased in 2001. In May 2005, he set up Waters Edge Ceramics and currently employees 10 full time technicians. He has also presented to the Association of Dental Implantology and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. In June 2005, John was awarded a Fellowship of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologists.
